Custom Rod Guide

I’ve tried about a half dozen cleaning rod guides, and these are the best I have ever used. Bar none. Hands down. They are made to fit a specific rifle’s bolt diameter and a specific cartridge. An O-ring holds the guide securely in place and prevents cleaning fluids from leaking all over the rifle. Alignment is perfect and a quick pull removes it from the rifle. The downside is that because they are specific to a cartridge and a bolt diameter, you’ll need more than one. For example, a Remington 700 in 30-06 is a different guide from a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor and a Kimber Adirondack 7mm-08. However, if you compare the cost of that to the cost of a single good rifle, or even a mediocre rifle, you’ll quickly see that it is money well spent for protecting the bore from unwanted scratches.

Couldn't find a bore guide to fit the Aero Solus action. The bolt OD is different than most, but PMA made it easy. Guide fits the action perfectly, and it didn't take long to arrive. Thanks PMA!!!

This rod guide is for seekens havok hit in 6mm creedmoor. It fits and works flawlessly. They do a very good job of making things that work the way they should!

I just purchased a non folding stock AI AT, there weren't any folders left in stock. This requires you to pull up on the cleaning rod handle to clear the butt stock. The bore guide itself has ZERO play while inserted and the rod insert further aids in making sure a less that perfectly angled cleaning rod actually enters the bore straight. Highly impressed with this precision device and Pat was a pleasure to deal with!

This is the second custom bore guide I have ordered and it will not be my last. Simply put it’s the best I have tried and the service from pma is helpful and professional. Well done.

I’ve been shooting for 40 years and just learned about PMA through a YouTube video by Bolt Action Reloading. We’ve just built two rifles (for my wife and daughter) on the Sig Cross platform. The Cross has a weird barrel extension/3-lug chamber and none of my bore guides work well with it. I called PMA and talked about my issues and ordered the PMA custom guide. It was a perfect fit on the first attempt, and works so well I will be ordering PMA guides for every rifle I have. I own a machine shop and am very particular; the PMA guide and rod insert were perfectly made. Highly recommend, and of course, will buy again!!
