Description

Quite a bit of testing went into the updated PMA Barrel Vise. From the metal finishing on the aluminum to maximize grip and minimize marks left on the barrel to the ability to handle barrels from .750" to 1.500"+ this barrel vise is based on the fantastic original Viper barrel vise, with a few added features we wanted.

 

Vise is shipped in position to handle barrels 1" - 1.500"+. To use the vise for barrels under 1" remove the top and rotate it 90 degrees.

 

PMA Recommends applying grease to the stud threads prior to use and torquing barrel vise nuts to 40 ft-lbs.

    Great machine work , holds barrel without out marring , takes up very little space , hold in place witch large c clamp and get out of your way when not in use

    Excellent Vice

    Just an update on my previous review. Tighten the four vice bolts to 30ft/lbs . No barrel slipping. My barrel torque was 85ft/lbs. If your barrel torque needs more, test with 30ft/lbs first, then increase if needed.

    Guys if i could give 20 stars for the barrel vise i would. That thing is amazing. It locks up the barrel solid and no marring. Broke the barrel loose with ease. Barrel never even hinted at slipping. Swapped barrels in 10 min. Cant thank you enough for making such fine tool!!!

    Super simple design, no bells ands whistles. Only what you need to remove/install a barrel. I managed to install my first ever barrel in 2 min. Vice bolts torqued to 50ft/lbs, no slippage whatsoever. I used drywall tape around my barrel. No marks from the vice at all. Great tool. Get one.
