Description
Used in our Model A Neck Turning Tool, these stainless steel Neck Turning Mandrels are sized to work in conjunction with PMA Expanding Mandrels. Our mandrels are also properly sized to work with expander mandrels from Sinclair and will work with all neck turning tools that accept 3/8” shank turning mandrels, includiing all Sinclair and 21st Century Shooting neck turning tools.
Most importantly, our stainless mandrels are precision turned from 17-4 stainless steel, the same grade of stainless used in the medical and aerospace industries. A 17-4 stainless mandrel offers the best combination of properties available in a stainless steel: strength, hardness and corrosion resistance. These properties combine to give you a stable mandrel that will not change dimension with heat and will not scratch or embed grit.
