It was great working with PMA Tool. After figuring out they had no standard bore guides to fit my rifle, a custom bore guide was recommended. I was doubtful at first, but was very surprised it fit perfectly in my rifle. When I say perfectly, I mean perfectly!!

I’ve tried about a half dozen cleaning rod guides, and these are the best I have ever used. Bar none. Hands down. They are made to fit a specific rifle’s bolt diameter and a specific cartridge. An O-ring holds the guide securely in place and prevents cleaning fluids from leaking all over the rifle. Alignment is perfect and a quick pull removes it from the rifle. The downside is that because they are specific to a cartridge and a bolt diameter, you’ll need more than one. For example, a Remington 700 in 30-06 is a different guide from a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor and a Kimber Adirondack 7mm-08. However, if you compare the cost of that to the cost of a single good rifle, or even a mediocre rifle, you’ll quickly see that it is money well spent for protecting the bore from unwanted scratches.
