Description
Adjusting a 7/8-14 threaded sizing die (or threaded seater die) to the exact shoulder bump you need is a laborious process. This set of seven 7/8” die shims enables you to set the die up once, then adjust the die in small, exact increments without loosening the die lock ring and starting over. We suggest setting up all threaded dies with a .005” or .006” shim under the lock ring for the initial setting. Sizing .001” more or less from the initial setting is then as simple as changing the shim.
Now made from stainless steel! -Unmarked
Kit includes one each: .003", .004", .005", .006", .007", .008", and .010"

Why didn't I buy these before!? I had to make a pile of Herrett brass for a Contender. Set up the FL die to form cases. After fire forming I didn't want to move the shoulder so I experimented with a felt marker and kept testing different shims till I found the one that allowed a faint mark on the shoulder. Then I used one a step thinner. Perfect headspace just that easy. No turning and guessing. I just fired 100 new cases without a hiccup. Perfect and elegant solution.

Very handy when you want to make some small adjustments to test different settings without moving the locknut around. Especially stuff like adjusting the amount of crimp on various 357 loads/bullet types. Very pleased.

As soon as I got the shims I miked them and they were spot on. Already using them on an automated bullet feeder I built myself. Very good product. If you need quality tools PMA Tool is a good place to go.

Sizing shims 7/8-14
I have been having problems with shoulder bump. Bumping too far which results in case cracks and I had a separation. Have given up on Competition Shell Holders. These shims work well. I have two different 308 rifles and by swapping shims I can easily switch between the two rifles. And control bump to one thou. I had a question and the company owner emailed me back. --jim
