Description
This Rod Guide is specially made for the Ruger Precision Rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, 6mm Creedmoor, and 243 Winchester. In addition to being the proper diameter, this rod guide is also 15" in length to accommodate the extra long receiver length of the Ruger Precision Rifle. A 44" Dewey cleaning rod is recommended for use with this rod guide/rifle combination.
We've taken the best features of the rod guides we've been using for years and put them into one guide.
The PMA Rod Guide Features:
- 15" overall length (Ruger Precision Rifle only)
- CNC Lathe Turned Black Delrin
- Our guides are made from black delrin because it doesn't stain and discolor like white delrin.
- Integral Solvent Port
- The integral solvent port is machined and located properly, not too big, not too small, and not directly under the scope eye piece (at least for most rifles).
- Postitive Markings
- Our guides are laser marked and paint filled; the paint may eventually wear off, but unlike stickers or identifying marks made by a marker, the engraving is there to stay.
- Red Silicone O-Rings
- In our opinion, red silicone o-rings hold up better to solvents and because they are a contrasting color to the black delrin, any wear and tear on the o-ring is instantly recognizable.
- Aluminum Rod Guide Insert
- We use aluminum for our rod guide insert, this allows us to hold a tighter tolerance on the inside diameter ensuring support for the cleaning rod. Aluminum also lets us give the end of the insert a nice, sharp, clean knurl for pulling the insert out of the guide.
- Dual O-Ring Insert
- Our insert also has two o-rings instead of just one so it doesn't wobble inside of the guide. The less everything wobbles, the straighter the rod will be in the bore.
- Clear Reusable Packaging
- We use the same telescoping plastic tube used to transport and ship high dollar cutting tools. It easily holds a rod guide and insert and is clear so the markings on the rod guide can be seen.

The BEST Rod guide you can buy for the Ruger Precision Rifle!
I spent may weeks searching for a good rod guide for my new RPR (6.5 CM) with no luck till I found PMA tools on the web. The big sports stores and local gun shops only carried universal rod guides made of cheap plastic or metal, that were designed to fit many different calibers or guns. The PMA rod guide is made specifically for the RPR! I had almost given up hope of ever finding a high quality guide. I ordered the PMA guide and was very impressed with the quality and well thought out design. It looks and feels like aluminum but is machined out of a space age material that won't damage the gun. If you own a RPR, this is a MUST have tool. PMA makes rod guides for other brand firearms and calibers also. Thank you PMA for making a precision product for a precision rifle! I will be ordering another guide soon for my other rifles!

This is one of the best bore guides that I've used. Fit's perfect in action and the rod fit's into the second guide without any play.

Finally, Perfect Ruger Precision Bore Guide
I searched and searched and stumbled upon this company in a forum. The bore guide fits my RPR absolutely perfect, and fits a Dewey. 22-.26 rod perfectly for the 6.5 Creedmoor. The cleaning solution port clears my scope no problem. Received it within the week from the time I ordered. I highly recommend this product. Finally the search is over for a bore guide for this rifle.

well worth the money
Recently picked this up for my 6.5 ruger precision, I couldn't be happier. I'm very meticulous about what products and how I clean my guns, after a referral from a buddy I decided to buy the pma bore guide. The fit and finish and detail they take to make sure this bore guide fits the ruger body length and width is perfect. The step down for the chamber area Is very tight and the o-ring seals perfect. I couldn't be happier with this product and will be purchasing several other items from them in the future. If you have a rpr don't waste your time searching any farther this is the bore guide you want.

6.5 bore guide - finally...
I've been in need of a bore guide for the RPR for some time now and none of the universal guides fit the bill. PMA's bore guide fits perfectly and the guide rod insert ensures your jag never hits the muzzle when pulling the rod back for a new patch. For the 24" barrel you will need a 40" cleaning rod to reach past the barrel/brake.
